Eureka Laundry

Eureka Laundry was founded by Conrad Zwerneman and John Mitchell Boyle in 1902. Boyle worked for another Houston laundry firm, Burkhart’s Laundry, for a period before establishing Eureka Laundry.

Shortly after World War I, Zwerneman sold his shares of the company, leaving Boyle as the sole owner. The company eventually went out of business altogether in 1935.

Today, the entire block this laundry shop once occupied is now home to a parking garage and business building.
