At the time of Joe Litterst’s photo, Burkhart’s Laundry & Dye Works was located at 1700 – 1704 Congress Avenue between Jackson and Chenevert streets. Today, this block no longer exists and was consumed by the construction of Minute Maid Park in 2000.
