G.W. Beardsley: The Bicycle Man

G. W. Beardsley’s bike shop was located at three different addresses prior to the 1120 Texas Avenue location you see in the photo. Chronologically, these were:

• 906 Prairie
• 1016 1/2 Preston
• 1014 Texas

By the end of the decade, the 1120 Texas location would have been razed in preparation for the Keystone Building. The Keystone Building, originally intended as a medical center, was built in 1923. Designed by architect, Joseph Finger, it is still standing today as “Keystone Lofts.”
