LeBlanc’s Fried Foods

Undated photo but possibly late 30’s early 40’s judging from the vehicle.
Unknown photographer.

LeBlanc’s was apparently a very popular fried foods restaurant during 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. I could not find much information regarding the local chain anywhere except old newspaper clippings.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the owner was a Frances Marie LeBlanc, who died in 1979 at the age of 80. While I’m not certain which location is pictured in the photo, LeBlanc’s operated several locations in the Greater Houston area.

  • Main at Bellaire
  • Log Cabin at Galveston Highway
  • 4111 Main
  • Main at McGowen
  • 2919 McKinney
